Dr. Andrew M. Douglass, MD, RPVI, RVT

Dr. Douglass has been practicing phlebology since 2001 when he opened the first full-time practice dedicated to vein treatment in the state of Tennessee. In 2008, Dr. Douglass was recognized as a charter member of the first 200 diplomates of the newly formed American Board of Venous and Lymphatic Medicine. He is now in his nineteenth year of full-time phlebology practice.

Dr. Douglass is an active member of the American Vein and Lymphatic Society and the American Medical Association.

Dr. Douglass graduated Magna Cum Laude and as a member of Alpha Omega Alpha honor medical society from the University Of Tennessee College Of Medicine in 1989. He was board certified in family medicine in 1992. In 2001 Dr. Douglass underwent private fellowship training in phlebology, the diagnosis and treatment of venous disease in Atlanta, after which he opened East Tennessee Vein Clinic.

Dr. Douglass is a Registered Physician in Vascular Interpretation (RPVI) and a Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) and a member of the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS). He is an associate staff at the University of Tennessee Medical Center Knoxville.

Dr. Douglass resides in Knoxville with Veronica, his wife of 38 years, their three grown children and two grandchildren.

 

Brittany N. Cook, MD, RHpS

Please join us in welcoming Dr. Brittany Cook in partnership with Dr. Andrew Douglass to the East Tennessee Vein Clinic, who joined us in May of 2020.

Dr. Cook, a Knoxville native, is a graduate of the University of Tennessee, as well as the University of Tennessee Health Science Center. She is a board-certified eye surgeon who has chosen to change her focus to venous disease. She has trained and gained experience in phlebology with Dr. Douglass, who opened the first full-time vein clinic in Tennessee in 2001. Dr. Cook is a Registered Phlebology Sonographer (RPhS) and a member of the American Society of Venous and Lymphatic Medicine. She is board-eligible for the American Board of Venous and Lymphatic Medicine, and plans to take the exam when next offered in August of 2021.
