Dr. Andrew M. Douglass, MD, RPVI, RVT


Dr. Douglass practiced phlebology from 2001 until his retirement in 2021. He opened the first full-time practice dedicated to vein treatment in the state of Tennessee. In 2008, Dr. Douglass was recognized as a charter member of the first 200 diplomates of the newly formed American Board of Venous and Lymphatic Medicine.

Dr. Douglass graduated Magna Cum Laude and as a member of Alpha Omega Alpha honor medical society from the University Of Tennessee College Of Medicine in 1989. He was board certified in family medicine in 1992. In 2001 Dr. Douglass underwent private fellowship training in phlebology, the diagnosis and treatment of venous disease in Atlanta, after which he opened East Tennessee Vein Clinic.

Dr. Douglass is a Registered Physician in Vascular Interpretation (RPVI) and a Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) and a member of the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS). He is an associate staff at the University of Tennessee Medical Center Knoxville.

Dr. Douglass currently enjoys his retirement in Knoxville with Veronica, his wife of 38 years, their three grown children and two grandchildren.
